Learn More About Jane

It has been my mission, passion, and pleasure to advocate for and support hundreds of individuals and families over the past 20 years.

I help you build knowledge, confidence, and power into the health care decisions facing you or your loved one. Working privately with you and your family, I help you navigate the maze of options and difficult decisions you may experience during a health emergency and/or an aging-related circumstance.

My experience includes over 25 years of professional nursing managing chronic diseases, dementia, and issues impacting older adults in all environments (home, facilities, and hospitals). In 1988, I earned a Bachelor’s in Nursing. In 1994, I obtained a Master’s in Adult Health and a Nurse Practitioner Certification.

Driven by a life-long passion to improve the lives of adults in the health care system, I opened a care consulting company in 1998 and a care giving company in 2011.  I have the privilege to be a daily resource for people seeking solutions in stressful health and care situations.

Meet Our Team

Amber Donahoe | Client Services Facilitator & Accounting

I am fortunate to be a part of the Clarity Care Givers family. I began my career in apartment management but raising our two boys led me to look for a better balance in my work life. One day I came across an ad for a care giver. It sounded like something I would really love because I have always been service oriented and enjoy working with people.

I started with Clarity as a care giver and I had wonderful assignments and built great relationships. I decided I wanted to interact on a larger scale with all of the care givers and clients at Clarity. My role the past seven years with Clarity as Client Services Facilitator and Accounts Receivable Specialist has allowed me to do just that.

Each day I have the opportunity to talk with our clients and care givers. I take pride in knowing I can ensure the needs of our clients are met and our care givers are working at the capacity they want while being treated respectfully. I love what I do. Each day is different and rewarding.

It takes a very special kind of person with the right heart to do the work we do. We have a pool of talented care givers on our staff to interact with which make me very happy. I have a deep respect for each of them. I know our clients are very pleased to be part of our family too.

Carla Howie | Operations Director & Human Resource

I am very excited to have joined Jane Malkoff and her team at Clarity Care Givers. This is a whole new adventure for me as I have spent the majority of my career in the manufacturing arena. I have held positions in accounting and finance, inventory finance, HR, employee engagement, corporate social responsibility, and corporate communications. However, in all those years, nothing compares to the passion I have seen while at Clarity Care Givers.

Each team member at Clarity is driven to give each client the highest level of care with the greatest degree of respect and dignity. Clarity’s professionalism and dedication to the population they serve is my inspiration. Every day, I am committed to delivering my best service with the same level of dedication as my peers.

In addition to my work at Clarity, I serve in my community as President of the Board of Directors for the Zionsville Cultural District, and have served a four-year term as President of the Board of Directors for the Geist Montessori Academy.

My field of study was communications at the State University at Buffalo, New York. I am also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and a certified Spectrum Diversity trainer.

Suzanne Johnson | Client Service Facilitator

I began working with Clarity Care Givers in 2013. Over the past few years, I’ve been privileged to serve in a variety of duties. I’ve worked on client and caregiver scheduling, served as the petty cash manager, and now I have the privilege to serve as a caregiver.

I also share the on-call responsibility with the scheduling team. Our caregivers always have a team to support them, whatever the day or hour. That is just one aspect I enjoy about being a part of Clarity: We support and care for each other as well as for our clients.

I appreciate the loving spirit each of my co-workers exhibit. We do this type of work because each person we serve, as well as each one of us, will face or is facing aging and/or health-related changes. It humbles me and makes me appreciate the cycle of life.

Before joining Clarity, I spent 23 years working in human resources at a variety of corporations including St. Vincent Hospital and Sallie Mae, Inc. I hold an MBA from Butler University and am also a licensed realtor with a Seniors Real Estate Specialist certification.
