What would you do with another 8,760 hours?

We would not really need a “new year” to reflect upon in order to achieve our primary goals for the upcoming 12 months. Yet, there is something wonderful about how we use the rhythms and the rituals of holidays and calendar months to pour depth and meaning into our lives. What better time to set goals and consider new ways to find inspiration if not after the longest night of the year (not to mention after surviving a year like 2020)!

I want to share two tips I found useful to help me focus on what matters most during this new year. If you are anything like me, your resolutions may sometimes be lofty, come without a formal plan and ultimately net less than a desired result. With these two ideas, I feel I can better draw my attention to a deeper meaning of life and also experience sought after goal achievements during this new year. I hope you like them.

1. Listen to the people you are with whether they are close friends or family, a work relationship, or a stranger. Look them in the eyes while with them and enjoy the experience of true listening. Ask questions of interest to them without a need to interject or rush away.

2. Select one powerful descriptive word to embody the energy you want to bring into the world. Allow this one word to permeate your thoughts. Give it your best possible attention to allow it to guide your words and actions each day.

I realize I will continue to have many areas in my life in need of improvements regardless of how many more years I ring in. However, with these two tips I know I will provide a better me in 2021 to the team of wonderful care professionals at Clarity Care Givers, LLC, to our clients and to my friends and family. Happy 2021!
